Singer-entertainer Ava Gold is teaching her fans how to act “Classy” when it comes to dealing with negativity. Gold is known for her role as Kiki on Nickelodeon’s The Fresh Beat Band and the new animated show Fresh Beat Band of Spies, and not only is she also concentrating on her songwriting career with BMG, but she’s also giving back to people in need through her charity work.
I was happy to interview Gold via email to learn more about her career, her new single, “Classy,” and what fans can expect from her in the future. Continue reading Exclusive Interview: Ava Gold
If there’s anything I’ve learned from being on Twitter and from having a website, it’s always making sure that you think twice (and perhaps three times or more) about what you’re about to say and who you’re about to say it to. If, for any reason, you feel you shouldn’t say something and can, perhaps, learn something from someone else, then take the opportunity to learn, however uncomfortable that moment might be. Matt Damon didn’t take the hint during the latest episode of Project Greenlight. Continue reading Twitter’s Latest Dragging Features Matt Damon and #Damonsplaining

What did we think about the Tyrant Season 2 finale? I am happy to say that I loved it. I took a look at some of what Variety has to say about it, which is that the series was in danger of reverting back to some bad writing habits, but I’d say that if the finale did revert back into some bad habits, it was a risk the series had to take in order to provide a clean break and a platform for a brand new Tyrant come Season 3. It’s getting close to the fall TV season, so I spent part of the weekend actually developing my fall TV viewing/reviewing/recapping schedule (instead of what I usually do, which is wing everything the weekend before fall TV starts).
So, for everyone who loves reading my recaps and viewpoints on TV (and like interacting with me with my live-tweeting), there’s THE OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEDULE!
(All times listed are CT since I’m in the central time zone) Continue reading The COLOR Fall TV Schedule!
I know they are fictional characters, but I hate saying that a character needs to die because it feels like saying a person needs to die. No one wants (or should want) to say that to someone. BUT, Jamal has now signed his own death warrant and now needs to die. Continue reading “Tyrant” Season Two Quick Thoughts: Jamal’s Got to Die!
I’ve had a ton of movie casting news that flooded my inbox and Twitter feed last week, and I am only just now able to get to everything. So let’s get into everything. Continue reading Casting News: “Fantastic Beasts,” “Scooby Doo,” Josephine Baker + More
It’s been a few weeks out since Tut aired on Spike, and, to reiterate, I loved it. But I did notice one element of one of the characters that could be considered very loose queer coding, if you chose to see it that way. All this posturing is to say that the decision to show the evil priest, Amun, putting on makeup was a very decisive (and probably unconscious) decision on the part of the writing or staging. Continue reading Queer Coded: Amun (Spike’s “Tut”)
